Top Digitally Fit Web Designer of the Year 2026

October 2, 2026

I’m excited to share some personal news: I’ve been nominated for Top Digitally Fit Web Designer of the Year 2026 at the Digitally Fit Awards.

This is a meaningful milestone for me because web design is more than just what I do for a living. Over the years, I’ve worked with businesses, agencies and professionals to design, develop, improve and maintain websites that help them build a stronger presence online.

Now, I have the opportunity to be recognised alongside other digital professionals across Kenya and East Africa.

And I’d really appreciate your vote. 🙏

What Are the Digitally Fit Awards?

The Digitally Fit Awards celebrate digital excellence across East Africa, recognising individuals, businesses, brands and organisations working across different areas of the digital economy.

According to the awards platform, the programme recognises achievements across 300+ digital categories, bringing together professionals and organisations involved in technology, digital marketing, web development, e-commerce and other areas of the digital industry.

My nomination is in the Top Digitally Fit WEB DESIGNER of the Year category for the 2026 Kenya to East Africa edition.

For me, the nomination is an opportunity to highlight the work being done by independent Kenyan web professionals and the impact that good technology can have on businesses.

What I Do as a Web Designer and Developer

I’m a freelance web developer based in Nairobi, Kenya, working with businesses and agencies on websites and digital projects.

My work goes beyond simply putting together attractive web pages.

I focus on building websites that are:

  • Fast and responsive across desktop, tablet and mobile
  • Easy for businesses to manage and maintain
  • Optimised for search engines
  • Focused on user experience and conversions
  • Secure and technically sound
  • Built around the actual needs of the business

I also help businesses troubleshoot existing websites, improve website performance, maintain websites, and provide technical development support to agencies.

The Digitally Fit Awards nominee profile describes my work as including website development, performance optimisation, codebase auditing, loading-speed improvements, cybersecurity and white-label technical support for agencies.

That combination of design and technical development is an important part of how I approach my work.

Why This Nomination Means Something to Me

Building websites as an independent developer isn’t always about the big launches.

A lot of the work happens behind the scenes.

It’s fixing the small issue that is affecting a client’s website. It’s improving a slow page. It’s figuring out why a plugin is conflicting with another plugin. It’s making an ecommerce store easier to use. It’s helping an agency deliver a project for its client.

It’s also about constantly learning.

Technology changes quickly, and as a web developer, I have to keep learning, experimenting and improving the way I work.

That’s why being nominated for Top Digitally Fit Web Designer of the Year is something I’m genuinely proud of.

It’s recognition for the work, the clients, the projects and the journey that has brought me here.

Why I’m Asking for Your Vote

If you’ve ever worked with me, hired me, recommended me, followed my work, interacted with my content or simply believe in supporting local digital talent, I’d really appreciate your vote.

Your vote is more than just a number.

It helps recognise the work of independent web developers and digital professionals in Kenya and puts local talent on a bigger East African platform.

Whether you’re a past client, fellow developer, business owner, agency, friend or supporter, your support means a lot to me.

Building Digital Experiences From Kenya 🇰🇪

I’m proud to be doing this work from Kenya.

There are incredibly talented designers, developers, marketers, creatives and technology professionals across the country, and I’m happy to be part of that growing digital community.

For me, being digitally fit means more than simply having a website.

It means having a digital presence that works.

A website should help a business communicate clearly, build trust, reach customers and make it easier for people to take action.

That’s what I aim to deliver with every project.
