Not sure if your website is helping or hurting your business? My free website audit gives you an honest, expert opinion. I look at your site the way your customers see it, and the way a developer sees what's underneath, then tell you in plain English what's working, what isn't, and what I'd improve first.
You don't need to know how your website was built or what any technical terms mean. Just send me the address and I'll take it from there.
What I look at in your free website audit
1. Design and first impressions
Visitors decide within seconds whether a business looks trustworthy. I review:
- Whether the design looks modern, professional and in line with your brand
- Layout, spacing, colours, fonts and image quality
- Whether your homepage makes it instantly clear what you do and who you help
- Consistency across pages, so the site feels like one polished brand
- Specific design ideas: what I'd change, add or remove to make it look and feel better
2. User experience: how easy your site is to use
- Can visitors find what they need in a few clicks?
- Is the menu clear, and does every page lead somewhere useful?
- Are buttons, contact details and WhatsApp or phone links easy to spot and tap?
- Do forms, booking or checkout steps feel simple, or do people give up halfway?
- Is the text easy to read and the content written for your customers?
3. Mobile and different devices
Most of your visitors probably use a phone. I test your site on phone, tablet and desktop screens and check for text that's too small, buttons that are hard to tap, menus that don't work, images that are cut off, and pages that scroll sideways or break.
4. Development and technical health
This is the part most business owners never see, but it affects everything. I check:
- How your website is built and whether that setup suits your business, now and as you grow
- Outdated software, themes, plugins or code that could cause problems
- Broken links, broken pages, missing images and visible errors
- Whether contact forms actually deliver messages
- Code quality issues that make the site slow, fragile or hard to update
- Whether you can easily update the content yourself
5. Speed and performance
Slow websites lose visitors before they even see your offer. I measure how fast your pages load on mobile and desktop and pinpoint what's slowing them down, such as oversized images, heavy add-ons or slow hosting. (Speed is something I care about: my own site scores 100 on Google PageSpeed Insights.)
6. Security and reliability
- HTTPS and the padlock in the browser
- Signs of hacking, spam or malware
- Whether backups and updates appear to be in place
- Hosting reliability and anything that puts your site or your visitors at risk
7. Features and opportunities
Your website can do more than show information. I'll suggest features that could save you time or win more customers, such as online bookings, payments (including M-Pesa), quote request forms, client portals, live chat or automation with AI tools, where they make sense for your business.
8. A quick look at Google visibility
I also do a short check of the basics that help people find you on Google, such as page titles and whether your important pages can be found. If this turns out to be a big opportunity, I'll tell you, and my full website and SEO audit covers it in depth.
